BIOINFORMATICS

BIOINFORMATICS RESEARCH

MID develops advanced algorithms based on innovative research, providing solutions to fundamental bioinformatics problems. This small, adaptable
group is committed to serving the needs of pharmaceutical, biotechnological and academic scientists and
to the progression of drug discovery research.

Bioinformatics has a New Method calculation of Life

1) Research & Training Program

Bioinformatics and Computational Biology is advance science and technology which give us more detail information on DNA, RNA, Protein, Enzymes, Metabolism, Cellular Mechanism, Phylogenetic relationship between the species. Which make very easy to understand life. In MID's team, the expertise they are more specific in bioinformatics and computatioanl bioology research and having good academic record and research experince.

2) Publications

This is one of the advantage of trainee of MID's, this is compulsory for everyone who is doing their intership and training over here, they need to publish at least one paper.Lot of students, who are pusuing their BE, B.Tech, B.Sc, M.Sc, ME, M.Tech in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology, have already worked on 3D Homology Modeling and Docking Study and have published their paper.

3) Research Review

MID's research scientists, review the paper and provides an overview of recent research related to ongoing projects and guideline for the student who is doing intership or training program.

4) Tools Devlopment

MID's develop tools for rRNA sequence database which contain about 3000bps with their structural and functional information. Which are very helpful for Microbiologist who are working on partial genome sequencing of Microorganism.

5) Web services in bioinformatics

Graphical User interfaces have been developed for a wide variety of bioinformatics applications allowing an application running on one computer in one part of the world to use algorithms, data and computing resources on servers in other parts of the world. The main advantages derive from the fact that end users do not have to deal with software and database maintenance overheads.

6) Mapping and Analyzing DNA and Protein Sequences and their 3-D Structure

MID's research team already mapped rRNA about 3000bps sequences, their stucture and function that are able to align 3000bps at a time that is key research of our team. Most of the tools that are not efficient to align more than 1500bps and thier structure and function.

7) Bioinformatics workflow management systems

A Bioinformatics workflow management system is a specialized form of a workflow management system designed specifically to compose and execute a series of computational or data manipulation steps, or a workflow, in a Bioinformatics application. Such systems are designed to

  • Provide an easy-to-use environment for individual application scientists themselves to create their own workflows.
  • Provide interactive tools for the scientists enabling them to execute their workflows and view their results in real-time.
  • Simplify the process of sharing and reusing workflows between the scientists.
  • Enable scientists to track the provenance of the workflow execution results and the workflow creation steps.

Basic bioinformatics services are classified by the SSS (Sequence Search Services), MSA (Multiple Sequence Alignment), and BSA (Biological Sequence Analysis). The availability of these service-oriented bioinformatics resources demonstrate the applicability of web-based bioinformatics solutions, and range from a collection of standalone tools with a common data format under a single, standalone or web-based interface, to integrative, distributed and extensible bioinformatics workflow management systems.
